Lamia Mamoon

Lamia Mamoon is currently a first year MBA student at MIT Sloan. Prior to MIT, Lamia worked on global entrepreneurial initiatives within various large organizations, including Google and Pearson Education, in the environmental, education and wearable technology space.  

She has lived and worked throughout Sri Lanka, India, Bangladesh, West Africa, Hong Kong and the Middle East. Outside of work, Lamia previously spearheaded initiatives to provide career mentoring and financial literacy training to domestic violence victims to help them establish independence. 

Lamia completed her undergraduate studies at the University of California, Berkeley, with a degree in Business Administration and Energy and Resources. Her hobbies include following golden retrievers on Instagram, practicing stand up comedy routines in the shower, and discovering the magic of her new Instant Pot.
